    Our Garmin nuvi performs well for short trips. But we use both it and the Streets and Trips in our cars on long road trips. We operate Streets and Trips in a note book and that allows us to look far ahead, to explore areas, to plan a route, or to explore alternate routes, all with great accuracy and convience. That is something that is not easy to do with a Garmin nuvi. We could actually get by with just the Streets and Trips, but having both is what we recommend.
